I have been carrying armloads of heavy firewood in for 13 years. When I got to my back door, it was always, "Now what?" Ok here is the real deal ,,,,!!! I have now used these a lot for 2 months . It got cold here early and has not let up and my fire place is lit 5 days a week min, all theses tool I have used the tongs the least but all of them have held up nothing bent or broke. The poker gets loose because the jam nut gets hot and cold due to fire . If it matters to you tighten it up when it's hot be careful and it will stay tight longer. None of the other tools have the jam nit loosen, the poker gets used the most so only complaint is the poker should be 1 solid pc, . The set would not be 60 buck though . The holder and tool are all holding up well under heavy use. If you are a 1 time a week fire for a few hours guy this set will last you for ever . Do in conclusion well worth the $$ .

For the past two years living at our apartment we have not had fire tools. We have used an extra log or stick to move things around, which could honestly be difficult and even dangerous at times. I really liked the look and felt they were well made. They are shorter than some I have seen which is fine if you have a fireplace that is not deep. I have an extra deep fireplace insert so sometimes I need to use an extra tool that is longer to reach the back of the box. Over all I like the tools and felt they were a good deal for the price.

While a poker is not much to get excited about, this one still exceeded my expectations on quality for the price. While the item's titled describes it as "extra long", I can't imagine working with anything shorter. This length of 3-feet is a minimum requirement in my opinion, not an extra. With anything shorter, it would get very uncomfortable very quickly working with a hot fire. It is also very solidly constructed. If were shopping again, I would buy this same item without hesitation.

Have only used once so far. Everything appears to be of very good quality and the individual tools are sturdy and attractive. Of particular importance to me is the tools have a looped handle to keep them on the rack where they belong. Our last set easily fell off the rack and could have easily cracked the tile in front of the fireplace.

This set was easy to assemble. Basically everything just screws together. There are no directions, but they aren't really needed. You will need to use a wrench or pliers to tighten the main post to the base. If you don't it will wobble on you. It's very heavy and sturdy. I'm giving it four stars since, like I read in another review, the brush seems a little on the cheap side. Not the quality of the other utensils. But as far as looks go, you'd never know. A decent value for the money.

The tools work fine, but the holder wasn't fitted to hold each one correctly. We've tried to make adjustments to allow the entire stand to be useable, but it isn't easy (or perfect) so we still have to forcefully pull tools out each time we want to use them.

This is a nice kit. Heavy sturdy tools that assemble easy by simply threading together. It's a high gloss black so if your looking for matte you might want to look elsewhere. I haven't used the shovel yet or the tongs but the poker and broom and served their purpose well. Looks nice by the fireplace and it's important to have tools at the ready just Incase
